Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need training? Isn't it just an expensive waste of time?
This is a good point - but we really believe that our courses teach you things that will:
Make you more efficient
Make you less likely to injure yourself either through and accident or through repeated wear-and-tear on your body
Ensure you are properly covered by insurance
Be genuinely interesting and useful rather than patronising
There are two main reasons to be trained - one is that it is generally a legal requirement to hold a certificate of training or competence to operate machinery at a professional level, and the second is that everything we teach is to help avoid a very real danger of serious or fatal injury.
On a frivolous note - check out these video clips! While you're on You Tube - check out HOW MANY accidents there are!
We are not saying that you are as accident prone as these people - but there are definitely hidden dangers we can make you aware of.
Where can I get funding for my course?
Funding is not an exact science. Schemes come and go, and we will endeavour to keep our website up to date with funding opportunities.
However, there is a good chance you could get funding if:
You are long-term unemployed
You are leaving the forces and need retraining
You are setting up in business and need the training to start your enterprise
You are registered as disabled
You are working as a farmer
If in doubt - give us a call to find out the latest opportunities. Unfortunately, it is often the case that funding is not available.
