About Us

Environment Skills Training was established in 2003.

We are based in Llandre, just North of Aberystwyth. It is a fantastic location, just a few minutes from the mountains, forests and the beach at Borth.

Environment Skills Training offers several different activities. We offer a range of courses in outdoor skills, mainly because we love working outdoors and helping others achieve the qualifications they need to work outdoors as well. We also design outdoor team building courses, again, because its great to see people developing in themselves, and also appreciating the outdoors.

We carry out some contract work in tree surgery, forestry and trail-building, because its interesting, and it helps us maintain our skills and relevant industrial experience.

We also enjoy to work with disadvantaged groups, such as the probation service, or excluded school children - outdoor activities can really give them a chance to shine and be appreciated.

We are aware of the forthcoming environmental difficulties such as CO2 pollution and Peak Oil. We hope that giving people the skills they need to keep managing our native woodland, that our own forest industry can provide local building materials, fuel and other initiatives to help in the coming years.

We look forward to meeting you and sharing your enthusiasm and ideas!
